Sissy Señor is a Seattle-based art project by Seth Garrison, a queer, software engineer papa making geometric wall art. These works emerge out of reclaimed materials, occult systems, and whatever strange obsession currently has them in a chokehold. Fine-tuned detail and production work is often done in collaboration with Will Suggs, a master at the clean line that often eludes Seth. The project started after Seth found salvaged gym flooring whose original patterns had been scrambled into a kind of accidental analog static. That idea turned into an ongoing body of geometric studies built with strict constraints, symbolic color systems, shuffled patterns, astrology, tarot, and an unreasonable number of paint samples.
